In the big game, a brand’s logo may make or break it. Just take a look at the most recognizable logos—from Nike to Apple—something there’s brilliant yet straightforward about them. That, however, is the exception rather than the rule.
Emanuele Abrate, an Italian graphic designer, is fully aware of the potential downsides of logos. These are some of the issues Emanuele is addressing in his new initiative, from imprecise messages and incorrect typography to designs that are simply too far gone to be restored. Additionally, the phrase “The worst logos ever, redesigned” is true to its word. Emanuele has chosen nine of the worst company logo gaffes that might be salvaged from an unappealing limbo. The outcomes of his own interpretation are shown below.
